As many of you know, the PCV system on the LS Vahicles isnt exactly the greatest system on the planet…..burning up to 1 quart every 3K miles. How do you prevent the oil from entering your intake? Simple….install a catch can. Why do I need to prevent oil from entering my intake? When oil vapors exit the crankcase via the PCV valve, they enter the intake and create adverse effects such as carbon build-up on valves, pistons, and plugs, as well as cause harmful detonation. Detonation in many cases causes the ECM/PCM to retard timing, thus creating a reduction in horsepower. By removing this oil, a clean burning engine could help the environment as well as improving the performance of a vehicle.
A PCV catch can installs between your PCV valve and your intake manifold. It acts as an oil/air seperator. All of the oil mist that enters the can is trapped, and the air flows through the can, much like an A/C accumulator. You will be amazed to see how much oil catch cans can accumulate every few thousand miles.
This billet aluminum catch can is an excellent solution because it not only fits well, but it looks good while doing the job! It has brackets installed to directly bolt-up to an LS1 cylinder head, making for a clean installation.

ok, so i thought i was going to have some trouble installing this catch can because i still have my egr hooked up…it actually wasnt that bad, i found an almost perfect place for it (if you have your egr still) …the belt tensioner pulley…just take the bottom bolt out from the tensioner and lower the catch can bracket to 1/4 inch-1/2 from the bottom of the can and just tighten the bolt back up through the catch can bracket, pretty simple! i think its pricey for what it is, but they did send me 3/8 hose for the connections witch was very nice of them, saved me the trip to the auto parts store…thank you ws6 store! you guys are the s!@#

Great product, with a very good finish. Highly Recommend with your LS1. I have had it on for the past two oil changes (6K miles). Every time I changed the oil and drain it, it’s almost completely full. Keeping that oil from being recycled back through the engine.
